Total Recal キョウ
"キョウ (today) is the beginning of the rest of your life."
The very first scene. A rocky, red martian gorge.
The woman he wakes up in bed with. A regular angel!
"I can't believe you're jealous of a dream!" Blonde vs. Brunette - vying for Arnold's love.
The nice, husband/wife image of those two lovebirds together....... doesn't last long!
Arnold, about to receive his memory implant.
Arnie getting a "schizoid embolism." Altho really, conjuring an image of Arnie shouting is not exactly difficult. :D
Mars is like Arnie's real hometown here...
And throughout the copious foreshadowing in the beginning, everything echos of Mars.
Arnie is being threatened from all sides after his failed memory implant!!
Arnie's wonder (or surprise, as this kanji means) about his wife trying to kill him!
OR "Get ready for a surprise!" BOOM
Only a total lunatic would stick that metal contraption up his nose...
but of course
But of course, he does it.
After listening to himself, he takes action to rectify the whole situation.... "get your ass to mars"
Arnold crossing the customs boundary. Fat Lady Explode scene.
Arnie's introspection throughout the movie.... is it real? is it not? who am I really? etc.
Life on Mars, in colonies.
Will Arnie cooperate with the Prez of Recall, who says its all just a dream? Naaaaa.
See above. (or think, terrorists who won't submit to the government)
the rebels feelings towards Kuato.
Hmmm. Maybe the host-body of Kuato?
The man-made bridges in the Alien "machine."
Lots of scenes, pick whichever you like.
These two don't fit too well. Imagine some Mutant fortune-telling ritual involving lots of incense and some weird sutras.
興味. Or, something this movie does quite well. :)
勉強. Imagine Arnie's muscles if you like.
within my ability
Notes: I friggin love this movie so much. So nostalgic to watch it again for the first time in what must be at least 7 or 8 years. Awesome. And the a good number of the keywords fit like it was meant to be - even the RTK3 ones! Several kanji listed with compounds are really basic, common ones any aspiring students should know, so I didn't bother fitting them into the movie. The rest is all very useful however for this rather ubiquitous reading.
